1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CommentSurge — the website, application, APIs and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. The Service

CommentSurge is a discovery and drafting platform: we find relevant Reddit conversations, score them for buying intent and search potential, draft suggested replies, DM sequences and self-posts, and track the visibility your contributions earn. All posting is done by you, from your own Reddit account, under your own judgment — either by copying drafts or by explicitly approving a post through the Reddit OAuth connection you set up. Nothing is published without your action.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API tokens.
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent quotas.

4. Your responsibilities — Reddit compliance

  • You are responsible for everything you post on Reddit, including content drafted with our AI assistance.
  • You must follow Reddit's Terms of Service, content policy, API terms, and each subreddit's rules.
  • You must not use CommentSurge to spam, manipulate votes, harass, deceive, or operate undisclosed promotional accounts.
  • OAuth tokens you connect are used solely for actions you explicitly initiate; you may revoke access at any time from Settings or via Reddit.

CommentSurge is designed for human-in-the-loop use. We do not auto-post, operate bot networks, sell upvotes, sell accounts, or automate unsolicited DMs. If Reddit suspends or restricts your account for how you use the Service, that is between you and Reddit — we are not liable for third-party platform actions.

5. Plans, billing and refunds

  • Paid plans (Growth, Scale) renew monthly or annually until cancelled. Cancel anytime — access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Annual plans are billed once per year at a discounted rate versus monthly billing.
  • Monthly quotas (opportunities, drafts, prospects, posts) reset each billing cycle and do not roll over.
  • Legacy plan purchases remain honoured for existing holders.
  • 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time paid-plan purchases — email support@commentsurge.io.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice; existing subscribers keep their rate until the next renewal.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe; you agree to Stripe's terms for payment handling.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or third-party rights
  • Generate or distribute deceptive, defamatory, or harmful content at scale
  • Resell, share, or sublicense account access outside your organisation
  • Scrape or bulk-export the Service beyond the provided APIs
  • Attempt to bypass quotas, rate limits, authentication, or security controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

7. AI-generated content

Drafts and analyses are generated by third-party large-language-model providers configured by you or your administrator. AI output can be wrong, generic, or non-compliant with a given subreddit — always review before publishing. You own the final content you choose to publish. We make no warranty that AI output is accurate, original, or suitable for any purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, code, and content (excluding your content and third-party marks) are owned by AutoGenShorts and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service under these Terms. You retain all rights to content you create or publish through the Service.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, abuse, fraud, or non-payment, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature should survive (payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee customers, traffic, rankings, AI citations, or revenue. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
